Single App Mode can be configured on iPhones, iPads, and Apple TV devices that have been enrolled via Mobile Device Management (MDM). For more information on MDM, check out our MDM Overview KB article.
The Single App Mode payload is used to specify a single app that will be forced to open on the device and prevents the use of other apps. When this payload is active, the app reopens immediately after the device is restarted.
Configuring the MDM Payload
1. Navigate to the Policies page
2. Click on the Catalog
3. Select MDM Configurations
4. Click Add Configuration
5. Select iOS and then select Single App Lock
6. After giving the payload a name, add the Bundle ID of the app on the device for the App to Lock section
If the app that the device is going to locked to is deployed via Apps and Books, you can find the Bundle ID of the App to Lock from the GoLive Page > Software (Apps) > Apps and Books > Bundle ID
For more information on Apps and Books, check out our KB article on Configuring Apps and Books.
After creating this item you can deploy it by following our Configuring a Policy KB article.
