Addigy is upgrading Self Service to an all-new version and we wanted to share what you and your end-users can expect.
- An overview of Self Service can be found here.
Your users will immediately see an all-new look when Self Service is opened. We've evolved the look of our native Swift Self Service application to closely follow Apple's UI guidelines. Self Service will respect your system settings like dark mode, etc. The entirety of Self Service's look has been revamped.
The left-hand sidebar has a new permanent member, Scripts. In previous versions of Self Service, this option only showed when you assigned a script to the device. That is no longer the case and is now a top-level, default option. We've also added the ability to see the version of Self Service at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar.
- Learn how to assign scripts to Self Service here.
The Company Header section is new to this version of Self Service. This customizable header allows you to include (or not include) more information that's immediately visible to your users. This information is customizable in the Self Service configuration. Each of these options is clickable and will open the default application on your device.
- Logo
- The logo next to the Company Name will be the same as the Self Service icon. This icon is changeable in the Self Service configuration.
- Company Name
- Show Address
- Show Email
- Show Phone
- [NEW FIELD] Show Description
- This field allows you a space to add notes or any other messages for your users. This will show in the Company Header under the Company Name and in the Info section.
The Info section has taken the place of the previous About section. This information mirrors most of what you see in the Company Header with the exception that a full logo can be uploaded and shown here.
Chat has been reworked and has moved from the main Self Service application and now resides in the Self Service helper application that sits in the system bar. Chat now has its own app window that houses open and closed chats**. This helper application can be enabled through the Self Service configuration. Moreover, you now have the option to hide Chat in the Self Service configuration as this wasn't an option previously. Note: End-users do not have the option to start chats with administrators.
**Note - the ability to view previously closed chats is temporarily disabled.
Notifications have also received an update as can be seen below.
Note: As with all Self Service upgrades, there is a possibility that your end users may receive a pop-up asking about PPPC. This is not an expectation as this release should not ask your end-users for any actions.
