Welcome to the all new System Dashboard! Starting in the summer of 2019 we began to release enhancements to the Addigy user Interface with the new Add Devices page and more recently the Monitoring page. Some of the improvements we made to those pages are now being introduced on the System Dashboard page. These new features will be coming soon to other parts of Addigy too.
New Features and Enhancements
In addition to the updated user interface, we have added new functionality to the dashboard. Below is a list of some of the major updates!
Policy Selection
Introduced with "Add Devices" the System Dashboard now allows you to quickly filter the list of policies to choose from by typing in the Policy Selection box. One a policy is selected, all of the data on the dashboard will update. To remove the policy filter and go back to all devices in your org, just click the X in the policy drop down.
Advanced Filtering
Introduced with the Monitoring page, the new filtering dialog allows you to quickly add criteria to include by using "=", "contains", or "!=" (not equal) for string search criteria and "=", "between", "!=" (not equal), "<", ">", "<=" and ">=" for numeric search criteria. To remove a filter, click the X attached to the fact filter near the top of the page.
Device Filtering
We've moved the Devices filter to the top of the page for quick access to information and filtering. By clicking on a device, a filter will be applied to the dashboard that will filter down to a type of device. Want to see if all the MacBook Pro laptops have FileVault Encryption? Click MacBook Pro and review the updated Security donuts! To remove a device filter, click the X attached to the fact filter that is at the top of the page.
Other Interactive Areas
In addition to the three sections mentioned above, there are several other areas that can apply filters to this dashboard.
- OS Version
- Uptime
- Memory
- Disk Space
- Processor Speed
- Time Zone
- Processor Type
- Alert Categories
Future Improvements
Along with this release, we are also planning a V2 of the System Dashboard to add additional functionality to filter, sort data, and modification of boolean facts so that administrators are presented with relevant data to them.
We hope you enjoy the new dashboard and find value in this refresh!
