Addigy's Live Terminal will allow you to create tunneled SSH sessions directly to your devices. To learn more about how the Addigy Live Terminal works, check out our article Addigy Live Terminal Integration Overview

Live Terminal Not Loading: Manually Install the Software

When enabling Addigy Live Terminal, it may take up to 30 minutes for the new settings and software to be installed on your devices. If you are attempting to start a session and do not get past the loading dialogue, you can try manually pushing out the Live Terminal settings by running this command from the Run command textbox on the Devices page.

/Library/Addigy/go-agent policier install install-ssh

When your devices run that command, they will immediately install the necessary settings to create Live Terminal sessions.

Fixing a Broken Addigy Live Terminal

If the Addigy Live Terminal was previously functioning properly on a device but has stopped working for some reason, try running this command from the Devices page to reinstall the software and settings:

/Library/Addigy/ssh -install

Error turning Remote login (on):

If you get the above error, please run the below script to remedy the error

sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ssh.plist

Error dialing port 22: dial tcp: lookup localhost: no such host

The above error means that the host file on the device has been altered.

To fix this, you can set up custom software by uploading the file attached to this KB and deploy it to your device, inputting the below as the installation script:

mv "/Library/Addigy/ansible/packages/hosts (0.0.0)/hosts" /etc/hosts

Agent not responding

If you get this error, we advise reinstalling the Addigy agent.

You can do so by going to the devices page, clicking the device drop-down, and selecting re-install agent:

After re-installing the Addigy agent, run both of these commands separately:

/Library/Addigy/go-agent policier install install-ssh

/Library/Addigy/ssh -install
