Big Sur has made changes to how devices are enrolled when using the MDM Enrollment Link as well as approving the MDM Enrollment Profile once it's on the device, having the end-user manually navigate to the profiles section.

Just like Catalina, Big Sur also requires that the user has admin privileges to successfully install the Addigy MDM enrollment profile.

Previously on Catalina (macOS 10.15) and under

In Catalina and under, clicking on the downloaded MDM will result in a prompt verifying that the user would like to install the profile.

After clicking on Install, the user will be prompted to enter their password. Following this, the profile will be installed on the device.

Big Sur (macOS 11.0)

With Big Sur, after clicking on the downloaded enrollment MDM, a notification will appear at the top-right corner of the screen prompting the user to approve the profile.

The end-user will need to navigate to System Preferences > Profiles to approve the profile.

On the Profiles window, the user will have the option to Ignore or Install the profile.

After clicking Install, the user will encounter another prompt verifying that they want to install the Addigy MDM profile.

After clicking Install again, the user will be prompted for their password. Installation may take a few moments.

Following installation, the Addigy MDM should show as Verified.
