Why Automate Deletion?


Creating a Maintenance item will allow you to automate the process of clearing your ansible folder. This is a great way to delete the folder and free up space on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for the devices.


Getting Started


To create a Maintenance item, head to Policy > Catalog > Maintenance > Add Maintenance

 

Once the pop-up appears, type in:

  1. Job Name
  2. Instructions
  3. Schedule



Below is the code that you can copy and paste to your maintenance item.


sudo rm -rf /Library/Addigy/ansible/packages



Once you hit Save Changes click on Policy > Maintenance > Add Job



Lastly, all that would be left is to Deploy Changes and wait for it to do its job.

** The maintenance item will show pending in the deployment status window until it is run for the first time per it's set schedule. **
