Scripts can be added to a device's Self Service application via the Devices page or a device's GoLive page.
Assigning Scripts to Self Service Via the Devices Page
Within Addigy click on Devices > All Devices. Select devices by clicking the empty box on the left of the GoLive text in blue. If you would like to assign this script in bulk, you can filter the Devices page for 200 devices and select the top-most checkbox. Then, on the top right of the page, enter the name of the saved script in the Run Commands box.
After selecting a script and clicking Send, you will get the option to add the selected script to Self Service.
Clicking Add to Self Service will add that script to a device's Self Service application. You will see a success header after it's been sent successfully.
The end-user will now see the script inside the Scripts section of Self Service
Note: If Self Service is open on the end user's device, any script addition or deletion will require a refresh
of the Scripts section in Self Service. This can be accomplished by clicking the refresh button (blue circle with white circular arrow) or restarting the Self Service app.
When the end-user runs a script using Self Service, the Run button will change to Running. When the script finishes, it will show a green Done message with a check next to it.
If a script has output, this is recorded in three places:
Events Dashboard
GoLive > Events
Script History (script history can be found on the Devices Page and within GoLive > Scripts).
Assigning Scripts to Self Service Via GoLive
On a device's GoLive page, click the Scripts tab.
Select a script by searching for it in the Run Command bar. After selecting the script click Send. Within the Send Scripts to Devices popup click on Add to Self Service. You will see a success banner if completed successfully.
Remove Scripts from Self Service
Scripts can be removed from a device via a device's GoLive page > Scripts and the Devices Page by clicking the Manage button located on the right of the Run Command bar.
Individual Removal
You can remove a script from a singular device by going to the device's GoLive page > Scripts. Clicking the red trash can to the right of the script will remove the script from the device's Self Service app. To remove multiple scripts at once click the empty box to the left of each script you want to remove. Once all have been selected click the Remove From Device button that is now selectable.
Bulk Removal
On the Devices Page, click the Manage button next to the Run Commands bar.
Within Saved Scripts click on the Manage button > Devices.
Clicking Devices will show you all devices that have the script assigned. You can filter and sort the name or serial number by ascending or descending order. Click the empty box next to the devices you want to remove the script from. Once the devices have been selected click the Remove from devices button.
You can also remove script from devices by clicking the red trash can.
