Addigy lets you restrict a user account to specific policies and their child policies, giving end users limited access to only the devices relevant to them.
Overview
Restricting a user to one or more policies limits what they can see and interact with in your organization. This is useful when you want to grant someone visibility into a subset of devices — for example, an end user or a team lead — without exposing your full device fleet.
How to Restrict a User to a Policy
- Navigate to Account > Users.
- Find the user you want to restrict and click Edit. This opens the Edit User window, where you can change user details (except email) and Policy Restrictions.
- Select the policies you want to restrict the user to from the list in the Edit User window.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Note: If the user is restricted to a parent policy, they also gain access to that policy's child policies.
What Happens After Saving
Once the change is saved, the user won't be able to see devices in your organization that fall outside the policies they're restricted to. If a device is in your organization but isn't assigned to any of the user's allowed policies, they won't be able to interact with it.
