Addigy lets you create and manage a user account that's consistently deployed across a group of Macs in your organization — a simple way to solve the problem of needing a consistent "IT Manager" account on every device for support purposes.
Important Notes
- These accounts don't have a Secure Token by default. If a device's Bootstrap Token is escrowed, the account is granted a Secure Token on its first login. The Bootstrap Token should escrow automatically upon MDM enrollment.
- Modifying an existing OS User removes its Secure Token. If a Bootstrap Token is escrowed, the OS User receives a new Secure Token on its next interactive login.
Warning: Use a strong password when creating a user account, especially for one with administrator-level access.
How to Create an OS User
- Navigate to the Catalog page, click OS Users, then click New.
- In the Create New User window, fill in:
- Full Name — the display name; this can contain spaces.

Account Name — should not contain spaces, since it becomes the name of the
/Users/$AccountNamehome directory. - Type — Standard or Admin.
- Password — the password set for the user. This must follow any password requirements configured on the device.
