GoLive Screenshots let you capture a snapshot of what's currently on a macOS device's display, right from the Addigy portal. It's a fast way to check in on what a user is seeing without opening a full remote session.
Overview
From the GoLive page of a macOS device, you can capture a screenshot of the device's current display. For more on the GoLive page itself, see Overview: GoLive.
Prerequisites
- The Screenshots setting must be enabled from Account > Settings.
How to Capture a Screenshot
- Open the GoLive page for the device.
- Click Screenshots in the top-right of the page to open the viewing window.
- If the display is currently on, click the play button to capture a screenshot.
- If this is the first screenshot taken on that device, the end user will see a prompt to approve Screen Recording. Once approved, they won't be prompted again for future screenshots.
Troubleshooting: "Display is off"
This message can mean the screen is genuinely off, or that our Display On Device Fact hasn't updated yet. If you've confirmed the display is physically on, run a device audit by selecting Refresh Data > Update (Device Information) to refresh the fact.
