What Is the Difference Between the Addigy Agent and Addigy MDM?

The Addigy Agent is a macOS-only agent that allows for the full features of Addigy, including deployment of (most) Catalog items, plenty of information that is displayed on GoLive/the Devices page, and the installation of remoting tools such as LiveTerminal/LiveDesktop.

Overview - Addigy Agent

MDM functionality is built into Apple devices and allows them to be configured using MDM configurations, which enforce device settings (such as FileVault) and commands (such as remote wipe/lock).
Addigy MDM installation on a macOS device will also install our Agent.
