Admins can assign Smart Software to Self Service so that their end users can install applications on demand.
NOTE: Profiles attached to Smart Software items will not be deployed via Self Service. Any necessary Device Settings should be deployed via policy or assigned to Self Service for the end user to install themselves prior to installing the Smart Software.
Assign Smart Software to Self Service
- In your Policy head to Self Service > Mac > Smart Software
- From here you can search for and assign Smart Softwares by clicking on the empty box next to the Smart Software you wan to add > Add To Self Service. Software that has been added will appear with the Enabled status.
Remove Smart Software from Self Service
- To remove Smart Software from being assigned to Self Service head to Self Service > Mac > Smart Software.
- Select the Smart Softwares you no longer want assigned by clicking the empty box next to the Smart Software you want to remove > Remove from Self Service
End User Experience
When the end user launches Self Service they will see Smart Softwares that have been added to the policy.
App icons and categories can be configured within the Smart Software itself > End User Apps.
