Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), like other Apple MDM-related items, requires a yearly renewal to stay active. This guide walks through how the ADE token can be renewed in Apple Business/School Manager.
- In Addigy, navigate to Policies > Your Policy with ADE Configured > Integration & Settings > Automated Device Enrollment.
- Select the Renew Token button:
- In the window that opens, download the Addigy MDM Public Key.
- In a new tab, sign in to Apple Business/School Manager.
- Select Devices at the top of the page, and then go to the Management page.
- Select the MDM server where the policy's devices have been assigned.
- Click on the ellipses "..." and choose Edit.
- Click in the Replace Certificate box and upload the Addigy MDM Public Key:
- Once that has been uploaded, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Now that the pem has been uploaded and saved, click on the ellipses "..." and select Download.
- Once the new MDM server token has been downloaded, head back to the Addigy policy where you are performing the renewal process. From there, select the Renew Token button once more and select the Upload Token button to upload the new token, and that will complete the renewal process.
