Deployment schedules let you control when Addigy installs Smart Software or Prebuilt Apps on your devices — useful for restricting installations to business hours or avoiding disruptions during peak usage.
How to Set a Deployment Schedule
- Navigate to the policy where the software is deployed.
- Click the Software tab, then click Settings in the top right.
- Check the Restrict update schedule box under Smart Software, Prebuilt Apps, or both.
- Select the days and set your Start Time and Stop Time.
- Click Save Schedule.
Note: If Restrict update schedule is not enabled, Addigy will attempt deployments every 30 minutes as usual.
Frequently Asked Questions
What time zone is the schedule based on?
By default, schedules are based on the browser time of the admin who set the schedule — not the device's local time. For example, if an admin in Florida sets a window of 12:00–17:00 ET, a device in California will receive deployments from 09:00–14:00 PT.
Can I set the schedule based on each device's local time instead?
Yes. Under the Smart Software or PreBuilt Apps schedule settings, check Use device's local time. With this enabled, the deployment window applies in each device's own time zone — so a 17:00–19:00 window will run at 17:00–19:00 wherever the device is located.
Does the schedule apply to both Smart Software and PreBuilt Apps?
The schedules are configured separately. You can set different windows for Smart Software and PreBuilt Apps within the same policy, or only restrict one and leave the other unrestricted.
Will software still install if a device is offline during the scheduled window?
If the device misses the scheduled window, Addigy will attempt the deployment again during the next scheduled window.
