GoLive lets you create local user accounts directly on a macOS device without needing physical access to it — useful for onboarding a new user or setting up a device remotely.
Overview
User accounts created this way won't have a SecureToken initially. However, if a Bootstrap Token has been escrowed on the device, the new user will be granted a SecureToken automatically after their first login.
How to Create a User Account
- Navigate to GoLive on the device where the account will be created.
- Select the Users tab.
- Select New User.
- In the window that opens, fill in the account credentials for the user.
- Select Save. A prompt confirms the command was sent.
Note: The username field should not contain spaces.
The Users list refreshes to reflect the newly created account.
