When troubleshooting devices, you may want to perform a manual audit of a device. Addigy uses an agent as well as MDM to collect facts about a device and updates the portal through the auditor. This functionality is available on the GoLive page (top right corner) of every device within Addigy.
Notes:
- If a device was not enrolled via MDM, you will not have the ability to audit the device using MDM commands. You will only be able to use the agent to audit the device.
- Agent audits will run automatically every 5 minutes
- MDM audits will run automatically every hour
Device Information (MDM and agent)
The device information audit collects general data about the device. Both an MDM device information audit and Addigy's agent audit will run when you click Update Now. All agent facts will be gathered and updated within Addigy using this audit.
- An example of a fact updated through this audit is the name of the device.
Security Information (MDM)
The security information audit allows you to update facts about security assets of the device. This audit is an MDM-only audit. Examples of information this audit would update are:
- Activation Lock
- FileVault Keys
- Passcode status
Profile List (MDM)
The profile list audit reports what MDM configuration profiles are installed on a device. This list is then compared to the policy of the device and if there is a discrepancy in the policy, installs any missing MDM configuration profiles.
Application List (MDM)
The application list audit reports what software is installed on the device. This list is then compared to the policy of the device and if there is a discrepancy in the policy, installs any missing apps.
Certificate List (MDM)
The certificate list audit reports what certificates are installed on the device.
