When the need arises to enforce settings on individual devices, Device Settings can be deployed via GoLive.
Deploying Device Settings via GoLive
- On the Devices page, select GoLive or a device's name to access the GoLive page for that device.
- Select the Device Settings tab. A list of all Device Settings installed on the machine will be in the Installed Device Settings tab.
- Select the Available Device Settings tab. A list of all Device Settings in your Catalog will populate.
- Select the Deploy button for the chosen Device Setting.
- A modal window will appear. If the Device Setting is a User-Channel profile, it can be deployed to managed users. Otherwise, it can be applied to the system (all users).
- Select Confirm to deploy the Device Setting.
- The status of the deployment will appear under the Status column.
Removing a Device Setting via GoLive
If a Device Setting was deployed via GoLive, it can also be removed via GoLive:
- Navigate to the Devices page
- Select GoLive or the device's name, which will open GoLive for that device
- Select the Device Settings tab >> Installed Device Settings.
- Select the Remove icon next to the Device Setting that was deployed via GoLive:
If the Remove status states "In (x) Policy...", it means the Device Setting is currently enforced via the device's policy and cannot be removed through GoLive. You can select the blue text to view the specific Policy enforcing the Device Setting. To remove the Device Setting, you'll need to remove it from the policy. This will remove the Device Setting from all devices assigned to that policy.
