GoLive lets you delete a local user account on a macOS device remotely, without needing physical access to it — useful for offboarding or cleaning up test accounts.
Note: Deleting a user account is permanent. Use caution before deleting a user.
Overview
User accounts can be created and deleted on individual macOS devices using GoLive.
How to Delete a User Account
Note: Devices must be online to view, modify, or delete macOS user accounts.
- Navigate to the GoLive page for a device.
- Select the Users tab. A list of all macOS users (with a user ID of 501–599) appears.

Select Actions > Delete User.
- A modal window appears to confirm the deletion.
- Select OK. A notification confirms the deletion.
The user list refreshes, and the deleted user no longer appears.
