What Does The Install MDM (+MDM) Button Do? – Addigy

The Devices page offers many options to manage devices, including the Install MDM (+MDM) button:

When clicked, this button checks if there is an active MDM configuration on the device.

If Addigy's MDM is installed, it will renew any applicable MDM certificates (see: Addigy MDM SSL Certificate Profile Signing Renewal)
If Addigy's MDM is not installed, it will attempt to install Addigy's MDM by removing any present MDM enrollment profiles. Once Install MDM is used, a user with admin credentials on the device must perform the following workflow:
1. The following prompt will appear. Click Install.
2. It will open the Profiles section within System Settings. Here, you want to double-click the installed profile and choose Enroll.
3. Once clicking "Enroll", the user will be prompted to enter an admin password. After submitting the credentials, the new push certificate will be on the device.
