You can check a macOS device's firewall configuration directly from Addigy — either as a live snapshot on the device's GoLive page, or as Device Facts you can use to monitor and alert on firewall status across your fleet.
Overview
There are two ways to view firewall information in Addigy:
- GoLive's Security tab, for a live look at a specific device.
- Device Facts, which can be used in Monitoring Items to alert you when a device's firewall configuration changes.
How to View Firewall Status via GoLive
- Navigate to a device's GoLive page and select the Security tab.
- Scroll to the Firewall section to see whether the firewall is enabled, along with which applications are set to Allowed or Blocked.
How to View Firewall Information via Device Facts
Addigy also provides Device Facts that surface firewall information for use elsewhere in the platform:
- Firewall Allowed Applications
- Firewall Block All Incoming Connections
- Firewall Enabled
- Firewall Stealth Mode Enabled
These facts can be used in Monitoring Items to alert you when a device's firewall configuration meets certain criteria.
