Addigy's Splashtop integration allows IT admins to launch a remote control session directly from the Addigy console. Splashtop provides the ability to remotely control devices and remediate any issues that would typically require an IT admin to be physically present on a device.
Splashtop Requirements
- Splashtop System Requirements
- Addigy System Requirements
- Splashtop's viewer app must be installed on the admin's machine
How To Enable Splashtop
-
Navigate to the Integrations page (Account > Integrations > 3rd Party Integrations) and select the Splashtop tile in the 'Third Party Add-Ons' section.
- Enable the integration by turning the 'Enabled' toggle on. Then, select the policies you would like to enable Splashtop for.
Note: The Splashtop streamer application will only be installed if Splashtop is enabled for all parent and child policies a device is assigned to.
It is also possible to enable or disable Splashtop directly from a Policy's page (via Integrations & Settings > Remote Control tab > 'Enable Splashtop on Macs in this policy'). On this page, you can also choose whether to prompt end-users when a new session is established.
Splashtop Viewer App
Before initiating a connection, you will need to install the Splashtop viewer app on your admin device (the device you are making the connection from).

PPPCs for Splashtop
Splashtop requires PPPC permissions to function. A PPPC payload for Splashtop is automatically deployed to macOS devices enrolled into Addigy's MDM. The first time a Splashtop session is initiated on a device, the end user will be presented with the following prompt:
The end user must manually grant Screen Recording permission to allow full control of their Mac via Splashtop. If microphone access is needed the end user must manually grant it via System Settings.
