With the move to MDM and Declarative (DDM) based OS Updates the legacy macOS Updates (installed via Agent Binary) feature is being removed from Addigy.
With macOS 12 and later devices OS updates and supporting app updates (e.g., Safari) should be performed using the System Updates tab. These updates are delivered via MDM commands and support authenticated reboot and hardware-specific builds from Apple for OS Updates, and for non OS Updates have the latest published catalog from Apple for apps like Safari or features like XProtect.
The MDM and Declarative (DDM) based OS Updates allow for greater control and install times and install windows. To set enforcement times (handled by the local Updates Agent) see the DDM Updates KB. New global settings in the latest macOS also support automatic installation and deferral options and are documented on the KB as well.

- Since macOS 11 Big Sur, updates that require a restart will prompt the user and may require an admin username and password.
- Since macOS 11 Big Sur, MDM Software Updates can be used to perform unattended restarts.
