The Public Software Catalog contains commonly used third-party applications for macOS. These software titles can be deployed via Addigy with just a few clicks by an Addigy administrator. Software in this catalog can be created and maintained by Addigy, partners, and community members. When browsing these offerings, the Created By column will show what organization created the software along with the version and other useful details about the Public Software title.
Software titles that are created and maintained by Addigy are packaged via an automated process that runs at various times each day. Additionally, those packages are verified prior to being made available in the Public Software Catalog. Software titles that Addigy packages are listed below and go over what is currently supported, marked for deprecation, and currently deprecated pending removal. More information about each state a software title can be in is described below.
Expectations
- Package, verify and update a software title within seven (7) days of the update being publicly available[1].
- To limit our customer's exposure to security vulnerabilities within versions of software, Addigy only supports the last 3-5[2] versions of a title.
- The exception to this timeline is the software titles underneath the macOS heading. Installers and blockers for macOS will be done as quickly as possible. Still, due to the importance of those items, we will take additional precautions before posting and thus may extend the time needed for validation.
- For browsers and any other software that pushes out a zero-day fix, Addigy reserves the right to pull all previous versions of that title and only support the latest version.
- Some software manufacturers release their latest updates in "phases." Addigy cannot attain these phased releases and must wait for the general public installer before making it available in the Public Software Catalog. Take, for example, Adobe CC.

Marked for Deprecation
Software titles marked for depreciation will continue to receive regular updates from Addigy. However, these updates may be packaged, verified, and uploaded at a slower speed than the software currently supported. These titles do not carry a similar seven-day goal as the currently supported list. After a software title has reached its marked for deprecation date, it will then move to Deprecated Pending Removal.
Addigy is continually measuring the use of the software titles included in the Public Software catalog and monitoring if packages are continuing to be updated. A title will move to the Marked for Deprecation list after the review of whether the title is in active support and the usage of the package by Addigy Customers. A title with active support but little use may become Marked for deprecation as might a title with high usage but is no longer being supported.
No current titles are marked for deprecation.
Deprecated Pending Removal
Software titles that are deprecated pending removal will be removed from the Public Software Catalog at the corresponding dates below. When removal from Addigy happens, the software title will stay on devices that have finished installation. However, the software title will be removed from any policy that had previously deployed said software title and will no longer be deployed to new devices. Additionally, that software title will not be visible in the Public Software Catalog any longer. If an Addigy administrator still requires deployment of the software title, we strongly recommend moving to deployment via Smart Software prior to the removal date.
