Addigy is now supporting native Declaration Configuration Objects in the Device Settings Catalog and they can be deployed to OS 26 and up devices via a Policy deployment or directly to a device via GoLive -> Device Settings -> Available Device Settings.
Deploying via a Policy
Device Settings regardless of them being MDM Profile based or the new Declaration Objects can be added to a policy all the same ways that MDM Profiles have been set in the past.
Via Catalog -> Device Settings -> ... (for profile in question) -> Policies -> Assignments...
Via the Policy itself -> Assets (section) -> ☑️ (toggle checkbox) -> Add/Remove... button
Deploying via GoLive
Device Settings regardless of if they are MDM Profiles or the new Declaration Configuration Objects can be deployed directly to a device in GoLive.
The difference between native MDM Profiles and a Declaration is that Declarations are scheduled for deployment at next check-in. This is due to the nature of how Declarations are applied and the device acts on them locally vs. a polling and response interval of MDM communications.
If you want to force Declarations to apply immediately you can force a synchronization, but it is best practice to batch GoLive deployments vs. scheduling a Declaration, forcing a sync then scheduling another Declaration, and then forcing another sync all in a few seconds elapsed. Instead in your GoLive session scheduling all the Declarations you wish to deploy (EX: Passcode, External Storage controls, and Safari Settings), and then forcing a sync and all 3 will apply at the same time.
Do I need to re-configure anything?
No. All of your existing Device Settings as MDM Profiles still exist, and will be deployed how they have been via Policy. If you wish to add Declarations to the mix you can do so. Declaration objects in Addigy today have no overlap in coverage outside of the Passcode Profile and Passcode Declaration. Per Apple documentation if both a Profile and Declaration exist on a device the Declaration will "take precedence over the similar device management" meaning those rules of the Passcode Declaration will take effect on the OS 26+ device.
