If the need arises, a macOS user's password can be reset via GoLive.
Performing a password reset (rather than a password change, where the current password is provided) will not update the user's login keychain, which is required for access to FileVault and other account functionality. This is a security feature mandated in macOS.
On macOS 15 and lower: Resetting a user's password via GoLive will remove their Secure Token.
On macOS 26+: Resetting a user's password via GoLive will break their Secure Token.
On macOS 26+ only, after resetting a user's password they will still appear to have Secure Token enabled in the GoLive > Users tab - but in reality it is broken.
After a password reset via GoLive, Secure Tokens can be re-granted via terminal commands (if there is another Admin user with Secure Token on the device) or via a password reset in Recovery Mode.
